The Need For Rest And Relaxation

The need for rest and relaxation are important especially for older adults whose tensions of everyday life are mounting too high from their challenging jobs or professions. As a person grows older, the need for rest and relaxation increases. Workaholic individuals often do not know how to rest and relax that they become irritable, tense, fatigue, and mentally exhausted. In such situations the most natural way to unwind or to get rid of accumulated tensions is:
1.      Engage in a hobby. There are unlimited kinds of hobbies, activities, and play any person would like to adopt and enjoy.
2.      Avoid overtime work especially late at night instead review briefly what work to be done and leave it for tomorrow. Sleep at your usual hour. The following day you can accomplished a job well done because you have renewed energy, feeling refreshed from a good night sleep. If sleeping is a problem try taking a lullaby pill, 1000 mg. calcium preparation with 500mg magnesium and Vitamin D. Take it with a glass of warm skimmed milk before going to bed.
3.      The body needs rest when it is under great stress. Older adults tire quickly and recover slowly than in younger adults. The organ’s capacities to meet the body’s needs decline with age hence his resistance to chronic disease is at its lowest level.
Genesis 2; 2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
